ABOUT TONY

Tony's groundbreaking work for the Seattle Supersonics brought him into the international spotlight when it was awarded a Gold Lion at Cannes. A commercial from the campaign, "Sam on Capitol Hill", was recognized not only as one of Adweek's Best Spots of the Year, but also one of the Best Spots of the Decade. The campaign also won four Andy's, five Clios, two One Show, three NW ADDY's, a Crest Award, a London Award. Tony was also given the distinction of being named as one of the industry's top ten directors in The London Creative Review (January 1999).

His background in lighting and cinematography, freelancing with such industry legends as Vilmos Zsigmond, Jordan Cronenweth and Larry Hutson, contributed to his strong visual sensibilities. During his career as full-time DP, he shot with some of the industry's top directors. He was also an Effects and Aerial DP for feature films and episodic television.

In 1992, Tony turned his attention to directing and began to hone his craft on a long roster of national and regional commercials. In 1994, he launched Ober Lenz films, a Seattle-based production company.

In April 2000, he signed with Compulsive Pictures.
